This is a three pack set of PRR Plan 61135 Wooden Mail Cranes. Mail cranes were used to allow station personnel to hand postal bags near the train so the RPO crew could catch the bag from the RPO on the fly.
Just drill a hole in the ballast and plant it so the pole is .51" away from the OUTSIDE of the nearest track rail!
